Jeanine Lawson has lived in western Prince William County since 1995, where she and her husband Dan raised their two children. Since 2014, Jeanine serves on the Board of County Supervisors representing the Brentsville District where she has been re-elected twice. Jeanine is most known for upholding Smart Growth Principles and preserving the rural area of Prince William County.
Jeanine grew up in small-town Iowa and was active in sports year-round. Her favorite sport was basketball earning statewide recognition her junior and senior years. In the summer of 1988, she was honored to represent her home state competing on a European tour. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992 and soon after, Jeanine and Dan moved to Northern Virginia where the jobs were.
As a proud Virginian, she is still moved by the beautiful scenery and historical landscape of our Commonwealth of Virginia. Jeanine lives in Gainesville with her husband and son. She’s a member of Grace Life Community Church, still enjoys sports, and is an animal lover.
